diy skull bracelets

I have been seeing skull bracelets like this all over wrists in California lately.  At the flea market this past Sunday I found a booth with these awesome skull beads and decided to make my own bracelets from them. They were super easy to make and it only took 5 minutes.
Here's what you need to make your own:

strand of skull beads (try etsy or this website)
elastic
scissors
1.
String your skulls on the elastic making sure that they are all facing the same way. Make sure not to cut the elastic yet. If you leave it wrapped around the spool, then you don't have to worry about the beads falling off the end.
2.
After every few beads you string, trim the top of the elastic. It will start to fray (below) and the trimming will help the beads slide on easier.
3.
Once you have all your beads on, cut the elastic. I used 15 beads on each bracelet. How many you need will depend on the size of your wrist and how tight you want the bracelet.
4.
Pull the elastic about an inch past the last beads on both sides to tighten it and then knot the bracelet. I did two standard knots and then one looping knot where you pull both strings through the knot at the same time. I followed it up with one more standard knot and a tight pull at each end before cutting the elastic off so it wouldn't stick out.
That's it! Super quick and easy. Now you have some super cute skull bracelets to rock on your wrist.
